吕建中博士现任全球报告倡议组织（GRI）董事、中国CSR智库副理事长，上海外商投资协会副会长。吕博士曾担任多家世界500强等跨国集团及大型家族企业的中国区领导，包括依视路集团（EssilorLuxottica）大中华区事务总裁、英国伟尔集团（The Weir Group）中国总裁、博然思维集团 （Brunswick Group）全球合伙人、新加坡金鹰集团（RGE Group）中国执行副总裁、亚太森博（山东）浆纸有限公司董事长、必和必拓集团（BHP）中国代理总裁，为这些公司在华推进本地化商业战略、业务增长、组织建设、持续改善、社会责任、员工发展、企业品牌和风险管理及可持续发展做出了重要的贡献。同时，作为经验丰富、造诣深厚的企业教练、商业教头和个人成长教练，吕博士帮助了众多企业家和创业者超越自我，取得成功；帮助他们的企业找到了增长与发展战略突破口和实现价值创造的路径。

吕博士还担任中华环境保护联合会ESG专家委员会委员，（联合国）责任管理教育中国学术委员会委员、香港可持续发展学院註冊可持續發展規劃師考試及認證評議委员会委员、中国工业经济联合会工业企业社会责任智库专家、《南方周末》企业社会责任研究中心专家、《第一财经》可持续商业研究中心专家、中国CSR百人论坛发起人、深圳智造战略咨询委员会委员、深圳可持续发展智库首席专家，首届上海外商投资协会首任监事长和中国匠心企业家峰会常务副理事长。英国商会ESG年度大奖暨峰会主席（2022，2023）以及亚洲可持续供应链峰会主席（2023）；多年来连续受邀在历届国际或区域的围绕着可持续发展主题的年度峰会上做主旨发言，并受邀大型企业的年度会议作为客座演讲嘉宾（安联保险、斯图拉恩索、帝斯曼、伊利集团等），并主持以解决企业重大战略问题为目标的企业私董会。
吕博士还是呈现跨国企业在华成长《视光之路》一书的总策划及主编兼联合作者、《第一财经》、《经济观察》、《中国眼镜科技》等媒体的专栏作者，南开大学MBA，在香港城市大学EMBA、浙江大学管理学院、浙江大学国际联合工商学院、深圳国际公益学院等讲述《可持续商业战略思维与实践》、《可持续商业领导力》、《商业与艺术思维》等理论与实践结合的沙盘推演场景模拟课程和工作坊及企业私董会。
吕博士获得澳大利亚墨尔本皇家理工学院电子商务学哲学博士，法国巴黎中央大学院工业及创新管理专业硕士，浙江大学化工过程控制专业学士学位。
Dr. Lu Jian Zhong, currently Board Member of Global Reporting Initiative GRI and Deputy Director General of China CSR Think Tank，Deputy Chairman of Shanghai Foreign Invested Association。
He performed many senior executive roles for more than 20 years in a variety of industry sectors and multinational companies, such as President General Affairs Essilor Greater China, President China of The Weir Group, and Global Partner of Brunswick Group, Executive Vice President of Singapore RGE Group (China) and Chief Representative, Chairman of RGE subsidiary Asia Symbol Paper & Pulp Ltd, Acting President of BHP Billiton (China). In his roles of leading China operation in the companies, he made significant contribution to help those companies establish and promote their business strategy, commercial development and growth, organizational development, operating excellency and continuous improvement, social responsibility, employee engagement and development, corporate branding and profiling, risk and crisis management as well as sustainability initiatives. He has been also performed as corporate coach and personal development coach inspiring many CEOs, senior executives, and entrepreneurs to exceed their limits and achieve break-through as well as helping their organizations to achieve higher goals of business growth and sustainable development.
Dr Lu is a well-known pioneer of sustainable business strategy and well-respected industry thought leader, with profound and systematic practical expertise and theoretical methodologies. Dr. Lu is the founder of “Sustainable Business strategy Paradigm”, “Sustainable Business Strategy Design Model and Leadership Model for Sustainability”, “Hybrid Compass Model for ESG Strategy Evaluation Framework”, “CSR Thought Systematic Methodology”. He has acquired profound and pragmatic industrial expertise in stakeholder engagement, materiality identification, corporate strategy and roadmap design, business-society ecosystem development and shared value creation. His forward thinking and tireless action have deeply influenced and motivated many companies’ executives, young entrepreneurs, and students to join the sustainability journey.
Dr Lu is also Deputy Director of Sustainability Council of China Academic Committee of Management, Member of PRME Committee China (UN Principles for Responsible Management Education), Member of the Examination and Curriculum Committee of Hongkong Institute of Education for Sustainable Development, invited expert of the China Federation of Industries and Economics Think Tank, member of Shenzhen Municipal Strategic Advisory Board for advanced manufacturing, Promoter of China 100 people CSR Forum, Founding Director of Ziya Business School. He was former co-Chair of Sustainable Business Committee of Shanghai American Chamber and Shanghai British Chamber, Chairman of British Chamber China ESG Awards 2022 and 2023, Chairman of the First Session of Supervision Committee of the Shanghai Foreign Investment Association, Chairman of the Asia Sustainable Supply Chain Summit 2023.
Dr. Lu is a guest professor at Nankai University, invited speaker to many EMBA and MBA programs at Hongkong City University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University Management School and Zhejiang University International Business School, Shenzhen Institute of International Philanthropy, as well as gust speaker to many leading companies’ annual conferences (Yili Group, Allianz Group, StoraEnzo, DSM, etc.). He has been an invited key-note speaker for many of the most important annual international and regional sustainability conferences over the last 10 years. Dr. Lu is the column writer for “China Business News”, “Economy Observation”, and editor-in-Chief and co-author of the book “The Road of Vision” which is a publication illustrating the development and success of Essilor (China) in China market.
